Koshiba Kiri is a 15-year-old high school freshman with a rare talent. Her father owns Koshiba Beauty Salon, and Kiri has become his unwilling heir. She has learned a thing or two from her father, but has no intention of becoming a hairdresser herself. That is... until she sncounters the Scissors Project.
The Scissors Project is made up of sophomores Narumi, Kai and Ochiai. The Scissors Project, more commonly known as S.P., is a makeover project that takes place at Ryokufuu High. The S.P. selects a lucky female student and give her a makeover in front of the entire schol. All the girls who are selected all have one thing in common: they are all pretty.
Kiri's ventures into the hairdressing world starts when she decides to help a young girl "add a little magic" after some boys at her school butchered her hair because they thought she was ugly. However, it's the S.P. that keeps her going.
Ultimately, Kiri doesn't have a vendetta against the S.P., but she will help the girls the S.P. won't. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is never just skin deep.
